Biography
Linda Mannheim has a distinguished career in Dance Performance, Dance Education and has expanded exposure to Dance through therapeutic community programs.
Linda is a founding member of the "I'll Have What She's Having" Dance Project. Additionally, as a performer, Linda has danced with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Daniel West Company, Liz Lerman Company, David Holmes Company, and the City Dance Ensemble. She has also performed with the Kennedy Center Artist in Education Program. She is a former Fellow with the Dance Program at the National Endowment for the Arts, where she stayed to serve on the dance staff.
As an Educator, Linda was Assistant Professor of Dance at American University and Rider University. She has served on the faculties of the Princeton Ballet, Princeton Dance Theater, Washington Ballet, and Maryland Youth Ballet.
Linda has a BFA and an MFA in Dance from Florida State University and an MPA in Public Administration from Syracuse University/Maxwell School. She is also a Nationally Certified Pilates instructor, holding an additional Master’s Program Degree from the Pilates Center in Boulder, CO, and a recent certification from the KSG Heritage Legacy Program.
Linda has completed her advanced studies of anatomy/pathologies/pilates through the Movement Science Made Simple (MSMS) courses. Linda has expanded access to dance and Pilates through her work with the Breast Cancer Resource Coalition and her certification to teach Dance for Parkinson’s Disease, through the DPD program at the Mark Morris Dance Company since 2011. She is currently teaching DPD at the ARB/Princeton Ballet School in collaboration with Princeton University Live Arts.
